About Turk

I’m Turk. I’ve been playing simulation games for the past 20 years from Zoo Tycoon, to Sim City to Football Manager.

As a gaming lover, it’s not just sim games I’ve played. After playing all of the triple A titles and some of the most popular games like Call of Duty competitively, I love to spend time playing simulation games to take some cool down time out of trying to be the best.

My goal is to create a wealth of valuable guides that carefully explain each element of some of the most popular and exciting upcoming games so that you can take advantage of enjoying the game at a deeper level. Simulation games are often complex and don’t get the respect they deserve as often gamers like to consume things quickly and not take the time to learn how the mechanics work.

Football Manager

I’ve been playing football related games all of my life and i’m always watching real football at the weekends. Since 2014, I’ve been playing Football Manager or FM constantly, as it’s rich attention to detail captures my imagination. There’s nothing more exciting to me than signing cheap youth regens and taking them to the top. I’m usually playing as sleeping giants Nottingham Forest, developing them into a super Premier League club that constantly challenges for Europe.

Sim City & City Skylines

I’ve played every Sim City since 2000. I don’t know what it is about that game but something about building a fully functioning city is so satisfying. It got to the point where I started using felt-tip pens to draw out my own maps when I was just 9 years old. After playing Sim City 2013, and not particularly loving the game due to its small map sizes and faulty mechanics, I eventually took up City Skylines due to its high popularity and much larger map size.

Roller-coaster Tycoon

Another classic. I’ve played each version of the series and absolutely love them all. I got into the series when I was about 10 and would spend hours and hours trying to make the most insane roller-coaster ever. In recent times i’ve been playing Planet Coaster too, but Football Manager has taken up most of my time as I’ve grew older.

Hotel Magnate & Planet Zoo

These are the two most exciting upcoming games that I personally think are going to be fantastic.
